Telecom Installer (DC) - Level 3
Tampa/Clearwater, FL

The Telecommunications Installer DC (Level III) supports and leads DC power installation projects, handling technical tasks and crew supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years telecom DC power installation experience
  • 2+ years of cabling (pulling, lugging, sewing), racking, and bay mounting
  • Experience pulling cable of varying sizes
  • No issues climbing or working on ladders
  • Flexible to work occasional nightshifts and double shifts
  • Valid driver's license
  • AC electrical experience a plus (preferred)


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Write MOPs (Methods of Procedure) and required documentation with senior installer support.
  • Install DC power plants, rectifiers, inverters, BDFBs, and related equipment.
  • Perform cable hole opening/closing without supervision.
  • Supervise and direct Level II cable crews.
  • Make limited hot connections under senior oversight (excludes hot transition work).
  • Lead small to mid-sized projects, ensuring on-time, quality completion.
  • Manage tool inventory, jobsite housekeeping, timesheets, and safety adherence.
  • Stage equipment/materials, submit weekly status reports, and read/interpret drawings.
  • Assist Level IV Technician with lead verification (voltage).
  • Add/remove DC power systems, batteries, and related hardware.
  • Support installation/commissioning of wireless, datacenter, and EV charging equipment.
  • Comply with all EHS and regulatory guidelines.
