Facility Manager with data center and/or other critical infrastructure experience is needed to lead operations at a high-performance data center for a fortune 500 company. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and proven experience managing teams in critical infrastructure environments and is a full-time permanent position.
The Facility Manager will oversee a team of 10+ engineers and technicians, ensuring optimal uptime and performance across electrical, mechanical, and building systems. This includes managing large-scale projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams (construction, engineering, controls), and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure top-tier service delivery.
This leader will champion safety, security, and environmental compliance while fostering a culture of growth and accountability. They will also play a key role in recruiting and developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities for the Facility Manager
- Lead and mentor engineering staff to maintain critical infrastructure
- Manage maintenance and repair of systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, AHUs, fire/life safety, etc.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support operations and capital projects
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to site-impacting events
Requirements for the Facility Manager
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of management, training, supervisory experience with 5+ direct reports
- 3+ years in mechanical or electrical maintenance
- 2+ years in a critical infrastructure environment
Considered a Plus for the Facility Manager
- Advanced certification or bachelor's degree in engineering
- 5+ years in data center operations
- Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical systems (UPS, chillers, switchgear, etc.)
- Experience using data analytics for operational decision-making
