Electrical Maintenance Technician

Electrical Technician with electrical power systems troubleshooting experience is needed to provide facility maintenance operations support in a Data Center environment for a Fortune 500 company. This is a contract to hire opportunity with strong potential of converting to permanent full-time with the client. Training will be provided. Graduates with Technical Certification (Electrical) or Engineering Degrees (Electrical, Electronic) are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in the military/Navy is a plus.

Candidates should have some hands-on troubleshooting experience with commercial electrical power systems.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Technician
* Manage the maintenance and repair of equipment including Electrical Switchgear, Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Transformers, Batteries, Generators, Chillers, Air Handlers, HVAC, and Fire/Life Safety Equipment.

• Duties include: Walking sites, double check common alarms, static transfer issues, switches, power discrepancies, and breaker issues.
  
  Requirements for the Electrical Technician:
  Degree (Electrical) or Technical Certification (Military/ Trade School) or 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
  * Commercial Electrical power systems troubleshooting experience in a work environment.
  * Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Strong leadership and organizational skills.- Strong attention to detail.- Ability to prioritize in complex, busy environment.
  * Data Center Experience is a plus
