What We Need:
As a full-time, Level IV installer, your main tasks involve leading telecom equipment installations, interpreting technical instructions, installing cables, connecting power, testing systems, and keeping detailed records. You should have experience with major carriers, equipment, testing, and power termination. To qualify, you should have experience as a Lead/Level IV Installer, at least 3 years of experience as a Level III Installer or experience leading a crew in a Central Office (switching center) setting.
Job/Duty Requirements:
- Lead various types of installation projects with the ability to serve as the lead.
- Read and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)
- Install Frame and rack builds.
- Run multiple cable types including coaxial, power, fiber, and network transmission; Use a variety of specific connectors and terminating procedures Lacing, stitching, sewing cables.
- Terminate DC power, rectifiers, PDUs, BDFB/BDCBBs, inverters, converters, raycaps and associated infrastructure used in telecommunications networks.
- Terminate cables using RJ45 connectors.
- Clean and scope fiber connectors, Document light levels and other readings with job specific testing equipment (ex: OTDR)
- Install ironwork (ladder rack) cable paths, horizontal and vertical pathways for fiber optic cable management systems and create a physical cable path for equipment and cable design.
- Test and turn-up (TTU).
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Experience with major carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, CenturyLink, Sprint, etc.
- Experience installing major OEM equipment like Ciena, Juniper, Cisco, Calix C7, GPON, Fujitsu Flash wave 9500, Coriant hiT 7300, Cisco ASR, etc.
- Test and turn-up (TTU) experience.
- Terminating DC power and terminated cables.
- Experience with BDFB and secondary DC power.
Experience Requirements:
- Hands-on experience as a lead Level IV Installer in a Central Office setting OR a minimum of 3 years as a Level III Installer.
- Hands-on experience leading a crew (2 or more) in a Central Office setting. Experience less than this will be considered as a level I - III.

Travel and Expense Policy:
- Travel Compensation:
- Travel exceeding 65 miles from the worker's home (Primary Work Location) is compensated at the standard pay rate for the additional distance.
- Time traveling between work sites is considered paid, regular working hours.
- Per Diem:
- Workers are eligible for a flat rate per diem of $130 per day for meals and lodging during overnight stays if the work site is more than 65 miles from home.
- Expense Reimbursement:
- All travel-related expenses (rental cars, gas, parking, tolls) must be paid upfront by the worker and submitted with receipts for reimbursement.
