What We Need:
The Level IV Installer will play a key role in our field operations. Responsibilities include a wide range of intermediate to advanced system work, encompassing installation, maintenance, and service of telecommunication equipment for various carriers. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of Central Office Installation (CO Installation) and Quality Standards as outlined in industry-leading standards documents. You will be required to cover the Northeast region, ranging from Baltimore, MD to Boston, MA
Job/Duty Requirements:
- Lead various types of installation projects with the ability to serve as the installation in charge person.
- Read and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)
- Install Frame and rack builds.
- Run multiple cable types including coaxial, power, fiber, and network transmission; Use a variety of specific connectors and terminating procedures Lacing, stitching, sewing cables.
- Terminate DC power, rectifiers, PDUs, BDFB/BDCBBs, inverters, converters, raycaps and associated infrastructure used in telecommunications networks.
- Terminate cables using RJ45 connectors.
- Clean and scope fiber connectors, Document light levels and other readings with job specific testing equipment (ex: OTDR)
- Install ironwork (ladder rack) cable paths, horizontal and vertical pathways for fiber optic cable management systems and create a physical cable path for equipment and cable design.
- Tests and evaluates systems to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system.
- Complete detailed documents of work performed and provide daily status updates.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Experience with major carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.
- Experience installing major OEM equipment such as Ciena, Juniper, Cisco, Calix C7, GPON, Fujitsu, etc.
- Test and turn-up (TTU) experience.
- Terminating DC power and terminated cables.
- Experience with BDFB and secondary DC power.
- *preferred knowledge of* Installation and Quality Standards contained in AT&T TP-76300 /76400 / Telcorida GR-1275, AT&T TP76300 and/or Verizon IP72202 Iss 5-1 core standards
Experience Requirements:
- Hands-on experience as a lead Level IV Installer in a Central Office setting OR a minimum of 3 years as a Level III Installer.
- Hands-on experience leading a crew (2 or more) in a Central Office setting.
- Experience less than this will be considered as a level I - III.
Travel/Per-Diem Details:
- May be required to travel out of market/overnight stays from time to time.
- Company vehicle provided for Lead/Level IV Installer
- Per-diem will also be provided if the job/project site is 65 miles or more from the Primary Work Location (confirm location with hiring manager). Amount = $130/day.
