Journeyman Electrician
Location: VT, NH, or ME

We currently have an opening for a Journeyman Electrician in the Northeast region. This position involves installing electrical frameworks, detecting and correcting faults in existing systems, and working closely with customers to ensure the reliability and protection of their electrical infrastructure. The role requires a high level of expertise, critical thinking, and a commitment to continuous learning, with the ability to supervise and mentor apprentices. This role requires flexibility in traveling throughout VT, NH, and ME.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical frameworks and detect and correct faults in existing electrical systems.
  • Install and service industrial equipment, including DC power systems.
  • Always carry standard equipment and parts.
  • Perform inspections, conduct assessments, and work with customers to identify issues needing attention.
  • Perform installation and restoration work on electrical frameworks.
  • Communicate with customers, perform own inspections to diagnose and address each task.
  • Commit to continuous learning and mentor apprentices on the team.
  • Select, install, and maintain the functionality of wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, and switchboards.
  • Set up and maintain electrical machines.
  • Monitor inventory to ensure adequate stock.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations.
  • Act as company qualifier for electrical contractor licenses in multiple states.
  • Supervise internal/subcontractor teams installing or servicing industrial equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship.
  • Valid state license permitting practice as a journeyman electrician.
  • Four years of experience as a journeyman electrician.
  • Ability and willingness to travel with overnight stays.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in telco, data center, or other critical power facilities
