About the Role:
As the Material Coordinator, you'll be the go-to person for everything related to construction materials and inventory at our Alachua, FL location. You'll ensure smooth operations by accurately picking, staging, and shipping materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with cycle counts. You'll collaborate closely with the Manager-Materials to keep the workflow running efficiently.


  • Manage construction material inventory: picking, staging, shipping, and maintaining accurate system records.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and receiving shipments, identifying any discrepancies.
  • Schedule freight pickups and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Operate material handling equipment (hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts - with certification).
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Ensure proper material stock levels and system accounting.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.


  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of relevant experience (experience managing construction materials a plus).
  • College education may substitute for some experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
