At the heart of the customer’s culture is their goal to become the UK’s most inclusive employer. To support this aim, Lorien delivered training sessions on unconscious bias in the recruitment process to their executive leadership and hiring teams. These sessions were facilitated by one of Impellam’s Performance & Development Business Partners and were recorded (and edited utilising video technology to focus on the key points), giving the client an effective way of sharing this information with new starters to educate them in this crucial component of hiring diverse talent. An awareness of unconscious bias helped support hiring managers to make better and more inclusive choices as part of the recruitment process.
