Who We Are

Our Values

In-the-know. Aware and informed. Keeping up to date with tech advancements and implications takes pressure off our clients and allows us to deliver recommendations. This awareness and expertise extend to both our high-touch talent placements and specialist recruitment services. We are driven by know-how, not just the numbers.

Continuous transformation. Evolution and growth. Technology today may not be the technology of tomorrow. Companies and talent must adapt to remain relevant and deliver to changing needs. At Lorien, we not only keep pace with tech advancements that affect our clients and talent, but we also go and grow as a business wherever the talent is heading. We are the past, present, and future of tech recruitment.

Confidence and intuition. We aim to match the right talent to the right company from the outset using our experience and intelligent intuition. Because when the talent is right, the pairing is positive, and that means we can all focus on creating a better world.

Responsive and flexible. No two clients, candidates, or requirements are the same – there is no one-size-fits-all. Instead, we craft flexible, single talent engagements through to scalable solutions. We adapt and respond with speed and support for the unexpected business critical fix-it-now scenarios to entire business transformations. We are agents of change.

Embracing Authenticity
Embracing authenticity
Our differences make us interesting – imagine a world where everyone was the same! At Lorien, diversity means being able to bring your full self to work, respecting differences, and making sure everyone is treated fairly and is valued for their unique contributions. We're dedicated to making our workplace a fun, inclusive and safe place to be – from honouring meaningful days to influencing our policies. Meanwhile Business Resource Groups across the wider Impellam Group drive engagement and provide focus on our diverse people – led by a dedicated Head of Culture and Fulfilment.

We are a Living Wage Employer, a Disability Confident Leader, and a Gold Investors in People holder. As part of our commitment to improving our inclusivity internally, we will interview anyone with a disability as long as they meet our minimum role requirements. Just let us know when you send in your application.
Having fun
Social events
Work-life balance is important. Here at Lorien, we believe you get out what you put in, but that your work life should be about more than just the bottom line.

Get together with the team on regular socials; join us for organised activities like volunteering or five-a-side; take a seat at our top table; or simply meet someone new in our open plan offices and breakout areas.

The highlight in the Lorien calendar is our yearly conference, complete with team building, an awards ceremony, and black-tie evening event at a boutique hotel. Bag an award? Get your passport ready. Top performers are whisked away on our annual Elite trip – a coveted all-expenses-paid holiday to a luxury destination.
Contributing to society
We believe in giving back and making the future of tech one that represents the world around us.

Our Head of Corporate Social Responsibility is Chris Blackburn. Chris has aligned our charitable efforts with the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals in order to provide structure and establish the areas in which we can have the greatest impact. Our contributions to society manifest not only through charitable donations, but through our volunteering programme, employability programmes and our long-term carbon footprint project. Lorien employees are entitled to two days’ volunteering leave every year.

Our current partners include Lucy Air Ambulance for Children, MAMA.codes and Tech Girls.
