Job Summary:
This position is for a Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst who will serve as a member of the Web/Container Services Team. This team is responsible for designing, building and supporting container and middleware web environments to enable business applications. The position’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to Kubernetes (on-prem Diamanti & AWS/EKS), WebSphere and WebLogic. Additional responsibilities may include evaluation, acquisition, installation, integration testing, upgrading components and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities & Duties:
• Support web and container application migrations to AWS
• Ensuring the security and health of Kubernetes Clusters
• Perform Kubernetes and container troubleshooting & problem determination
• Configuration and maintenance of Kubernetes load balancing via NetScaler, HA Proxy and CPX
• Collaboration with other IT teams for patch installation, including maintenance and creation of installation and patch repositories
• Own and manage certificate replacements
• Maintain standard documentation of products and processes
• Create scripts to automate routine work
• Keep abreast of new hardware and software developments, evaluate alternative approaches, and recommend new software or upgrades which enhance operations
• Ensure Human Performance (HP) tools are used in support of the IT Reliability / HP initiatives
• Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation

Basic Qualifications
• Experience working with and supporting Windows and Linux servers
• Understand the basics of containers and Kubernetes fundamentals
• Understanding of AWS concepts
• Understanding of containerized applications and deployment on Kubernetes
• Understanding / Knowledge of ITSM Processes
• Excellent organizational skills: and able to balance workload and manage multiple efforts simultaneously
• Self-directed worker, able to work independently, with limited oversight
• Demonstrated collaboration skills to foster effective working relationships with the team, customers, and vendors
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately using oral and written communications
• Ability to identify problems, develop solutions and take actions to resolve them
• Ability to thoroughly document work processes, communicate, and adhere to processes.
• Ability to effectively prioritize activities and focus team efforts based-on priority
• Ability to research independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines under tight timeframes.
• Ability to work effectively in a work plan driven/team environment.

• Experience with Kubernetes Container platforms
• Understanding packaging of applications for Kubernetes
• Experience supporting Java applications in IBM WebSphere or Oracle WebLogic
• Understanding of Kubernetes pods, deployments, services, namespaces, & daemonsets
• Understanding Helm charts and Yaml files
• Understand basic networking for applications that are running in Kubernetes
• Understanding of debugging and logging of Kubernetes applications
• Understanding of kubectl commands
• Understanding of container security with modernizing of applications
• Understanding of Integrated build and CI/CD tools for secure DevOps practices
• Understanding of Container content scanners and vulnerability management tools
• Understanding of External vaults and key management solutions
• Understanding of DevOPS tools, container orchestration lifecycle, and CI/CD automated pipeline
• Understanding of Docker Registries
