Cloud and Systems Engineer - REMOTE - OUTSIDE IR35 - new job in London, UK

We are currently recruiting for a Cloud Engineer for a global player in the betting/gambling industry. The project you would be working on is a migration of International Sports to AWS. Your role would be to build a new platform to support the systems in a containerized and automated environment. Cloud and Systems Engineer OUTSIDE IR35 £500 - £550 p/d Fully remote ASAP start 6 months Essentials:

• Hands on, extensive AWS experience
• Expert using Kubernetes
• Clear understanding of cloud paradigms
• SDLC / Software development life-cycle understanding + Agile background
• AWS + Kubernetes certifications

You should have experience with:

• Production experience in managing deployments at scale, deploying application servers, deployment, and administration of containerised services, understanding of Blue/Green, Canary, and Pathfinder approaches, understanding of Containerisation (Docker) technology
• Production experience with infrastructure as code, configuration management systems, automating the management of a data centre environment, provisioning, and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt.
• Strong drive and desire to build highly automated and scalable infrastructure, backed by excellent scripting skills (at least bash, python, or ruby), extensive knowledge of CI/CD infrastructure and pipelines with tools such as: GitLab CI, Jenkins or SonarQube or JFrog Artifactory.
• Production experience in automated software testing through unit, functional, integration, E2E, test suites as well as testing infrastructure as code, TDD, BDD, DbC, system monitoring and logging.

Your role will require you to maintain and forward the infrastructure-as-Code approach based on Ansible, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes. You will be responsible for developing automation tools to support the services and infrastructure. It is important you can support the deployment teams and development pipeline. You must demonstrate responsibility for the integration of software, ensuring technical debt is managed effectively. You must be able to contribute to the improvements in KPI's and serve as a mentor for junior members.
