Project Manager - Edinburgh (Fully Remote / Hybrid)

Salary - Up to 70k + Benefits

Lorien's Central Edinburgh based client (offering fully remote or hybrid working if preferred) is a growing organisation whose aim is to make a significant difference in the future of transportation via exciting technical solutions developed for large scale transport providers. These products have been in development - having gone from POC to commercial deployment - over the last 5 years and revolve around sensors and cloud-based mapping software created by their talented and very knowledgeable staff.

The main aim of these products is to ensure their clients can offer people like yourself the best transport services possible by monitoring and reporting defects identified via a system of high-tech sensors. These allow the quick and efficient resolution (and prevention) of any areas of concern and ensure the ongoing peak condition of trains and other services to encourage their increased use (and help the environment at the same time!).

They are currently recruiting for a range of brand-new roles and on this occasion, they are looking for a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis to work with vendors, 3rd parties and cross functional team members to ensure that technology projects are delivered, managed, and planned through all phases of the product life cycle.

Some of the skills they are looking for:

  • Strong track record of planning/managing Agile sprints and user stories
  • Previous delivery of managing software/application development projects
  • Ability to manage work plans, scopes and timelines as well as operate within a team and liaise with stakeholders
  • Strong grasp of Project Management tools and methodologies
  • Project Management qualification or strong relevant background
  • Previous delivery of software products/solutions
  • Dealings in the change management domain

Here is some of what you might expect:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements, scope and estimate projects, and outline costs and manage budgets
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery and the operational aspects of IT/business projects
  • Ensure ongoing and effective relationships, monitor project progress, and working with vendors and third party representatives
  • Working with the wider teams to ensure efficient implementations

If you feel you have the skills and knowledge required to really make this role your own, and would like to discuss this further, apply now with your latest CV and let's have a chat!
