Platform Engineer - Outside IR35 - Edinburgh - new job in Edinburgh, UK

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Platform Engineer to work for a large Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh. You will be involved with supporting a migration to vSphere 7, consolidating VCentre management to single scope and supporting operational platforms.

Essential skills:

• Cisco UCS build/configure and support/troubleshooting
• VMWare 6.X + 7 multi-site environments, linked mode
• VMWare vSphere HA
• SAN management and design
• NetAPP AFF Cluster / Metrocluster
• NetApp FC MetroCluster
• Administration of Fibre Channel Fabrics
• Experience with Commvault backup solutions, Hyperscale & Hardware
• Disaster recovery planning and execution, including wider assurance activities
• Data centre management and best practices
• Windows and RHEL operating systems
• Platform monitoring solutions and paradigms
• Agile working practices, including Kanban
