Head of Systems Development - new job in Oldham, UK

You will join one of the largest providers of affordable housing and care in England, who aim to improve people's lives and to create possibilities. The company is heavily investing in their people and technology and has an excellent management team, who value your contribution and innovative ways of thinking.

Due to the growth of the organisation, they are looking for a Head of Systems Development to join their team to lead their IT systems development teams to deliver vital components of IT/IM Roadmaps and to be responsible for the development of systems including infrastructure, applications, network services, integration, testing and data migration. As an experienced manager of high performing IT systems development teams, you will also drive good practice and have an understanding of multiple development approaches.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead the technology development teams to deliver IT components to support the efficient delivery of IT/Change Portfolio
• Lead the development, test, data, architecture and solution design teams
• Lead and manage testing function to provide assurance over technical delivery
• Lead and advise on tooling, best practice, delivery and the use of appropriate development methodologies

Benefits:

• Hybrid working environment - 2 days a week in the office
• Salary up to £89,000
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (35 hours a week)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holiday and 4 additional days over the Christmas period
• Option to buy up to 5 days holiday

Requirements:

• Experience leading technical delivery across complex estates of business (applications, cloud, legacy IT)
• Integration build and development of portals
• Test management as part of SDLC and DevOps
• Balance between Technical and Delivery Leadership
• Experience of leading enterprise architecture and solution design to support technical delivery
