IT Senior Project Manager

Location: Flexible with occasional travel to Perth, Scotland

6 month contract

£550 per day, inside IR35

The IT Project Management role will play a pivotal part, working closely with the HR Portfolio team, in the evaluation of RFP responses, defining Statement of Works with selected supplier(s), initiation and delivery of the procured services to our end customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain highly effective relationships within a cross-functional setting working collaboratively with the PMO, Solution Architecture, Security Architecture and HR Change Management specialists in scoping and executing project objectives.
  • Work closely with the HR IT Portfolio Manager and Procurement, to define and sign off Statements of Work with external technology partners for the delivery of Learning and Talent services.
  • Management of our technology partners, acting as a routine contact point between the organisation and our product and system implementation providers ensuring contractual commitments are met.
  • Deliver value stream resultant systems/services to the required quality, within budget, aligned to business outcomes.
  • Manage project dependencies, ensuring activities are joined up from an operational and delivery standpoint.
  • Ensure that services to be implemented comply with Architecture, Security and Data Protection Standards.
  • Ensure resultant services delivered meet Data and Analytics requirements to enable future predictive modelling to be performed.


  • Demonstrable ability to provide leadership and focus within a cross-functional team driving scope/minimum viable product definition, System and Integration Design, Product Integration Development - System Integration and User Acceptance Testing, cutover planning and rollout.
  • Scrum master experience
  • Demonstrable experience of having delivered projects successfully using both waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience of applying project governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrable ability to provide project status, financials, progress against schedule in a logical and consistent manner.
  • A proven track record of delivery based on required business outcomes.

Functional and Technical Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years Oracle E-Business (12.2.9) on premise HR Module integrations with cloud applications.
  • Experience preferable in the implementation of Learning & Talent SaaS services.
