Lorien Global have partnered with a global digital tech company who are looking to increase their headcount within their digital security function. We are in search for an experienced Security Engineer to join the team to focus on solving complex security engineering challenges, build new tools to prevent or automatically remediate misconfigurations and work with the cloud and engineering teams to overall drive security observability.

We are looking for someone with experience with cloud security (ideally GCP, Infrastructure-as-Code and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new tools, templates, and methods to help the company scale securely.
• Partner with Engineering and Cloud teams to build a secure cloud native platform
• Provide security expertise for software projects and cloud service designs
• Perform hands-on threat modelling, risk assessment, and web service security validation
• Provide security expertise for software projects and cloud service designs for a hybrid cloud model
• Explore different threat vectors for services across public clouds.
• Exercise your security research skills to drive novel security policies to detect complex misconfiguration scenarios using python, PowerShell, etc.
• Implement advanced layered public cloud security use cases e.g., IAM, analytics, etc.
• Implement test automation and metrics for measuring security efficacy.
• Implement auto remediation using serverless, PowerShell, etc.

About you:

• Demonstrable experience in cloud security (GCP, AWS)
• Experience in software security testing, methods and frameworks
• Proficient with Java, Python and Linux
• Infrastructure Security experience
• Proficient with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) like Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.
• Working knowledge of public cloud security compliance standards e.g., CIS, NIST, PCI, SOC, etc.
