Defect Manager - Inside IR35.

We are actively recruiting for a Defect Manager to join our client's team on an initial 4-month contract. This role will be based 5 days a week in Basingstoke.

Role Overview:

The role for a Defect Manager to focus on managing the defects produced from both Infrastructure and Application testing through to Resolution. As a Defect Manager you will be required to learn and support all aspects of the Defect Process and offer guidance to the software development and operational teams as and when required

Key Responsibilities:

• management and control of all defects within the in-house development environments.
• To own and chair daily defect calls with lead Development, Test and Operational Teams.
• Ensuring all defects are controlled and managed as effectively through their lifecycle.
• Creation of a Defect Dashboard.

Key skills:

• Excellent oral, written and presentation/communication skills
• Excellent working knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• ability to adapt and learn from other team members, by additionally demonstrating an analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Hands on experience of Jira and reporting tools
• Excellent Excel skills
