Cyber Assurance & Compliance Manager - Permanent Job - Remote with occasional travel to an office in Leeds

Are you a compliance manager with experience of working at national and international compliance and assurance standards typically including the ISO 27000 series, PSN, PCI-DSS, Health IG Statement of Compliance and IG Toolkit?

My client in the public sector is currently looking for a strong Cyber Assurance and Compliance Manager who can join their team on a permanent basis and lead, develop and implement, with colleagues from other departments a combined local public services approach to information and cyber compliance and improvement. This will include the development of associated supporting processes, materials and the implementation of a framework which enables it to be demonstrably applied and evidenced consistently across local public services.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing assurance to both my client and their partners that each organisations ICT providers technical and service arrangements are appropriately configured to best protect the organisations from cyber attack and information loss. This being within the wider Information Governance policy frameworks.
  • Leading a service area and managing a defined service area or key programme of work in order to deliver Value for Money services to customers.
  • Using strong people management skills in order to motivate, develop and performance manage staff within your service area to drive service improvements.
  • Promoting and delivering positive solutions to achieving diversity and inclusion in all aspects of your service delivery, community engagement and human resource areas, focussing on equality of outcome.

  • Professional integrity, commitment to maintaining and sharing own knowledge
  • Evidence of maintaining and applying up-to-date knowledge of current thinking and developments within professional and technical area of expertise
  • A successful track record of giving timely and appropriate professional advice at a senior management and political level
  • Ability to maximise contribution by having a broader outlook than their own profession

Desirable Certification:

  • HCISPP® - HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner
  • CISSP - Certified Information System Security Practitioner
  • CISM - Certified Information Security Manager
  • IS27001 Auditor / Implementer
