A Senior Technical Lead is required to join an Insurance firms Digital Transformation team .This Team delivers innovative solutions and capabilities that leverage our technical expertise, business understanding and partnerships to enable market-leading performance across the organisation. As the Senior Technical Lead you will be responsible for all technical design for the Reg and Risk Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Senior Technical Lead, working with a team of Technical Leads across all
portfolios, supporting the Portfolio Head, Product Teams and Business teams and the
Chief Digital Transformation Officer. Independently or in collaboration with other solution architects, Implementation of
technology by developing clear, comprehensive and integrated system, technical and/or
product recommendations which support the global business plans and long-term
strategic roadmaps. Work with the Portfolio Head and Architects to develop and publish a
technology roadmap for the portfolio to move us to our desired end-state. Summarise the financial implications of making these changes, within acceptable
tolerances for the organisation . Advise how technology will support us (globally), our customers, agents and OEMs
during its lifecycle and beyond (future business architecture and capability model).
Outline where technology capability, systems or data is needed to support the business.
Assess our current position against that picture (target enterprise architecture and
technology operating model).
Be responsible for all technical design for the Reg and Risk Portfolio. Create clear and
comprehensive system, technical and product architectural designs to ensure
consistency, maintainability and flexibility. Gain the approval of designs and any subsequent changes at the Design
Authority, which has business architecture and technical architecture representatives
and champion the education of this across our portfolio. Communicate with clear and comprehensive design artifacts to facilitate communication
with product owners, development teams (internal and external) business users,
architects and other stakeholders. Collaborate with architects experienced with newer technologies to ensure
solution alignment with technical architecture, business plans and long-term strategic
roadmaps. Act as design authority to the development/initiative teams delivering through the Agile
methodology. Ensure that designs, technical and business processes are documented according to
the internal standards and industry best practices at the level of detail that will
enable efficient and quality implementation, validation and maintenance of the solution.
Work with team to create solution designs, aligned with business requirements to meet
architectural standards and deliver optimal solutions which do not compromise
processes for the business and do not build technical debt.
Skills and Experience
Long-term experience of delivering successful end-to-end solution designs across a complex, global, matrixed organisation, owning and maintaining the design documentation during the whole project lifecycle.
