Data Analyst - Edinburgh - 6 Month Contract

Our Public Sector client are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to join on a 6 month initial contract, inside IR35.

Main Duties include:

• Designing and developing data extracts
• Supporting the design and development of new statistical data collections including the assessment of data quality
• Managing, cleaning, abstracting and aggregating data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data
• Creating and disseminating performance dashboards and visualisations
• Supporting the creation of data standards and reporting standards.
• Supporting Business Analysts to liaise with users of the statistics to ensure the published data meets stakeholders' needs for relevant and timely data.
• Providing stakeholders with expert advice and interpretation of the statistical data.

The successful candidate will have the following skills/knowledge:

• Experience of using data analytical tools to automate the generation of reports.
• Experience of engaging with multiple stakeholders to support the production of meaningful data extracts, analysing how users, processes and technology interact to form useable output.
• Experience of establishing ways of working with inconsistent and unstructured data sources.
• An ability to build good working relationships with both data providers and customers to enhance data service provision.
