My client is driving the digital transformation of the world's leading financial institutions. Other sectors, such as industry and insurance, also leverage their strong consulting and implementation skills across all aspects of pioneering technologies, such as cloud engineering, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things for Industry 4.0, and blockchain.

In this instance they're recruiting for a permanent Senior Data Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The role will be hybrid working with an expectancy to be in London City Centre 1 day a week. They are looking to bring someone in with skills in Python/ Pyspark to help deliver their growing demand in this space.

To be successful for this position you will need

• Experienced working as a software engineer including automation and testing
• Experienced working as an engineer (or solution architect) on Snowflake (Candidates with Snowpro certs would have an advantage)
• Experienced working with Big Data (Databricks or Spark) and AWS good to have
• Hands on of experience programming in Python producing secure and clean code
• Analytical mindset to help define tasks and cooperate with a product owner and the IT business
• Experienced designing solutions on a large scale for enterprise environment based on AWS
• Excellent understanding of data modelling, SQL and OLAP principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills to form productive and collaborative relationships
