IT Technical Support - PERMANENT opening - Based in Hawick (hybrid working)
Business Lorien is excited to be working alongside an industry leader in providing network solutions globally. Our clients have unrivalled experience when it comes to industry standards and are looking to hire 1st/2nd line IT Support to join their team in Hawick through a hybrid model to help assist their upcoming project with their existing range of skills and experience. The business has recently invested in their new ERP system and thus is transforming their IT team and its capabilities.
The role The responsibilities in this role will include providing 1st and 2nd line support to the existing IT team, documenting/managing any incidents, and configuring hardware and software in a Windows environment. Our client is starting a large project to run SAP into their business and therefore are looking for a candidate to come in and work with a wide range of technologies, including Active Directory, Exchange and O365. The role will work within an exciting, dynamic environment and aim to help drive technological advances.
About you The candidate will look to develop their existing IT support skills in this role, demonstrating an understanding of the basic networking practice and principles. The successful applicant will:
- Be able to multi-task, prioritise and manage issues accordingly
- Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of troubleshooting and fixing a wide range of end user hardware or software problems.
- Possess knowledge of Windows Server services (Active Directory, DNS)
- Possess knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft technologies
