The Data & Analytics team is an important function within this global organisations Digital Transformation teamwith a focus on transforming its data and analytics capability end to end; delivering a sectorleading digital data driven experience across this global insurance firm .

As the Data Operations delivery Lead you will be responsible for embedding 'data as an asset'within the culture of the function in order to achieve the required level of consistency, qualityand protection to meet the overall business needs and thereby enabling the business to become trulya data driven function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders, contributors and suppliers to ensure new initiatives and deliverables are understood, evaluated, prioritised and implemented to plan and to budget.
  • Liaise with the Business Change function to engage and manage stakeholders and for advice and support in producing relevant Change, Communications and Training artefacts to support embedding the change as appropriate.
  • Develop and share the necessary documentation and reports to enable programme success.
  • Ensure documentation and reporting evolves as requirements from the Agile APO team change over time.
  • Facilitate programme processes and practices, managing risks and impediments raised by the scrum masters and teams within the programme.
  • Undertake all aspects of the program planning process and then maintain and manage programme increment plans, taking account of business value, dependencies and resources.
  • Facilitate the coordinated preparation and execution of release planning for the programme.

This includes:o Facilitating the prioritisation of features for the next programme incremento Assisting the agile program in communication and coordination with stakeholders andcustomerso Supporting the Portfolio Head and Product Owners to manage change to the programmesPI plan and identify the impacts of those changes.o Driving cross team, portfolio, and departmental planning, collaboration, coordinationand resolution of impediments.o Driving delivery and continuous improvement by utilising feedback and metrics (quality,delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity.o Participating with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter expert todevelop and improve operating policies and procedures and be an advocate inadopting Agile best practices and processes.o Developing / modifying processes, policies, and procedures to facilitate the workingrelationship between the portfolios and other business functions / partners.o Supporting the configuration of Scaled Agile to the needs of the organisation,standardising and documenting practices.o Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets. Workwith the Portfolio Head, Sponsor, Product Teams and Business teams to support thedelivery and creation of program requirements and solutions.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Digital Transformation team and the Data &Analytics team. Work with Product Owners to gather, interpret and produce delivery patterns based on prioritiesfrom a range of sources. Carry out the impact analysis of any system changes, highlight the options, impact anddependencies so that informed decisions can be made. Maintain close, good working relationships with all types of stakeholders such as Operations,Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) function, Underwriting, Management Information and Analytics team.Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in delivering Operational Data capability across global regions,respecting and balancing local differences whilst delivering global solutions
  • Comfortable in setting up and hosting meetings with key stakeholders such as portfolio managers, analytics team and business stakeholders.
  • Engage and actively participate in Working Group/User Group meetings
  • Good understanding and experience of working in an Agile methodology such as Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Daily Stand Ups.
  • Good knowledge of business functions, insurance business operations, objectives and strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge IT standards and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of London market insurance
