Oracle DBA

Lorien's financial services client is looking to bring on a number of Oracle DBA (Inside IR35 up to £405 per day) to join them for an initial 6 month contract with a view to extend. The role is Glasgow based, but our client will allow for remote working and Hybrid working model, depending on what suits best for yourself.

The role:This role will be based within the Data Platform Unit within IT Operations function and you will work closely with project teams to deliver new databases, undertake migrations / upgrades alongside supporting changes required to existing databases within the estate in and outwith core working hours

Utilise your knowledge and experience to support the DBA community delivering change safely and effectively alongside supporting improvements wherever possible utilising scripting or similar methods to automate repeatable where possible. About you:

• Well versed in supporting Oracle databases (versions up to and including 19c)
• Knowledge supporting a Production database estate
• Demonstrate how to set up and maintain Oracle Data Guard Experience of using Oracle Cloud Control Experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Grid Infrastructure Awareness of Flashback technologies
• Oracle RMAN backup and Recovery skills
• Experience of Oracle RAC with ASM and Multi-tenancy Experience with TDE (Transparent Data Encryption
