Vulnerability Management Analyst - Contract

This role will work as a contractor in a Financial Services Organisation. This will be working in a cyber threat unit and responsible for addressing proactively all cyber security threats. The vulnerability management team within CTU owns the vulnerability management life cycle, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing scoping,analysis of vulnerability exposure, vulnerability fix certification, remediation prioritisation and vulnerability coordination activities across all aspects of internally and externally hosted technologies.

key responsibilities for this role includes:

  • Responsible for the tracking remediation activities to completion, validating the effectiveness in mitigating the risk.
  • Responsible for analysing vulnerabilities including Zero Days and their applicability.
  • Responsible for analysing technical vulnerability data to allow appropriate prioritisation assessment
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely release of vulnerability metrics and reports.
  • Remain in line with global vulnerability management function in terms of tooling and process.
  • Support UK vulnerability scanning solution ensuring optimal asset coverage.
  • Perform other job-related tasks other than those specifically stated in the description.

Key experience and knowledge required for this role includes:

  • Experience with Nexus or Qualys
  • Proven Background in vulnerability management operations, with the ability to influence business and technical teams towards clear resolution timeline.
  • Ability and inclination to coordinate stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong general understanding of information security principles (confidentiality, integrity & availability) and best practices such as NIST, CIS and ISO.
  • Awareness and understanding of change management and risk management methodologies
  • Relevant industry certifications highly desirable e.g. ISACA, (ISC)², GIAC, CompTIA Data model design and development
