This role is Inside IR35.
Loriens Public Sector client is looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to joint hem on an existing project on an initial 3-month contract that would be inside IR35.
What you'll do
As an Internal Audit managers, you would be expected to lead the day to day provision of the audit service to a client area, under the guidance and direction of a Senior Internal Audit Manager. They will be expected to lead on reviews and undertake audit fieldwork without supervision.
You may be expected to support and direct more junior audit staff, including trainees, and will therefore, where applicable, be required to undertake relevant quality assurance processes. Their work will be subject to formal quality assurance from a Senior Internal Audit Manager.
This must be done in line with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards; the Scottish Public Finance Manual; the Internal Audit Charter, Strategy and Plan, Terms of Reference for assigned audits (which include target dates for project milestones) and the EC regulatory framework where appropriate.
Key Skills for This Role:
- Experienced of working in an Internal Audit or Compliance environment along with experience of management and internal control arrangements in accordance with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards (PSIAS) or International Auditing Standards.
- Experience of European Rules and Regulations.
- Experience of working in the public sector.
