Payroll Advisor

Type - Permanent Location - London Hybrid - YesKey Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintaining and updating of pay records for employees and workers via the integrated HR/Payroll system
- Assist with the daily running of the Payroll system so that it is accurate in line with best practice
- Input monthly payroll data in the Business System
- Responsible for the running and of both pre and post payroll exception reports
- Assist, and in senior analyst absence be responsible for running of all cyclical pay runs up to stage of sign of by the Payroll manager.
- Monitor all staffing changes that affect payroll output including starters, secondments, transfers, leavers and other amendments to salaries and employee data
- Responsible for processing of relevant HMRC forms including P45, P60 etc
- Maintain a suite of MI for Payroll including production, analysis and remedy of any resulting issues
- Support the Payroll Manager on any compliance and governance requirements.
Skills/Experience
- A comprehensive knowledge of PAYE and Payroll Procedures including processing statutory payments and manual calculations
- Experience of using a HR and payroll database (Oracle would be an advantage).
- High level of numeracy skills with the ability to undertake manual and often complex calculations, supported by the use of spreadsheets
- Relevant experience of working within a payroll team processing a payroll and providing teamwork and support
- To have already obtained or to be currently undertaking a Payroll Qualification (CIPP or AAT).
- Experience of internal or external audits
