Network Engineer - Manchester City Centre - £50,000The Company: Lorien Global are working in partnership with one of Manchester's start up success stories. With an enormous platform transformation on-going and nearing completion, we're now planning for phase two of the development which will incorporate an international roll-out. As such we need to increase the size of Technical Operations Team to cope with growing project and support demands.The Role: As part of the Technical Operations Team you'll be redefining the Network Infrastructure which connects several services. In this role you'll have the responsibility of take ownership of a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and support tasks to ensure network performance meets the user and platform requirements.In this team there is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your skillset, by learning new skills and working with technologies such as Network Automation and Cloud Connectivity. We don't need you to be an expert with these points on day one, just a keen interest to learn and general understanding.The Skill Requirements: We're looking for candidates who understand most of the following:

• Proven experience in a Network Engineering role before (3rd Line/ Project Delivery/ etc.)
• Confident knowledge with LAN/WAN protocols and management
• Understanding of Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, CheckPoint etc.)
• Solid understanding of WIFI Systems (Meraki or similar)
• Have had exposure maintaining security via VPN and Firewalls configuration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
