Data Engineer

Data EngineerContract - Outside IR35Sunderland with 2 days a week WFHThis is a project piece to work with our client in Sunderland on a data project, to move data from legacy systems to AWS data store. An experienced Data Engineering developer responsible for the design and implementation of numerous complex data flows to connect operational systems. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management, along with other activities.

You will have a successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected data-sets. Expertise within Data analysis and synthesis. Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Snowflake. You will have a background in development and engineering within relational SQL and NoSQL databases (including Postgres and Oracle). Knowledge and experience working with Tableau Software and be able to use Jira and/or Confluence toolsets. Project Management knowledge of Agile & waterfall methodology.
