Network Engineer - Basingstoke

Location: BasingstokeLength: 12 months

A national clearance is required for this role however all candidates will be considered.

Mandatory Skills:

Good knowledge (2-3yrs+) of networking layer2 and layer3, IP protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and of IPSEC tunnels and able to troubleshoot them, and of Datacentre LAN topologies and solutions.

Experienced in producing low level designs including network diagrams and configuration build documentation.

Required to have a core focus and experience of Juniper based solutions, appetite to adopt other vendor platforms both hardware and software (cisco, etc).

Experience of firewall configuration, policy definition and fault finding.

Some experience of IDS/IPS/packet inspection devices, technologies and solutions.

Juniper JNCIA, or Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience.

Self-motivated, excellent communications skills with multiple stakeholders, able to take ownership and responsibility and make quick decisions.
