My client, a leading gaming business in Manchester, are seeking a MySQL DBA to join their growing team on a hybrid basis as a part of the development of their new technology platform. You will need experience as a DBA with a focus on MySQL and an understanding of RDBMS systems with an emphasis on MySQL.

You will be working on everything relating to all databases whether this is infrastructure, performance optimisation, monitoring live databases or working with the team on development of new features.

Job duties include -

* Ensuring the performance, availability and security of databases.

* Supporting the live system, understanding all elements of the platform, not just the databases.

* Handling common DBA tasks such as upgrades, backup, recovery, migrations etc.

* Monitoring and managing multiple data replication streams and enabling Release process.

Skills required include -

• MySQL experience
• Strong experience as a DBA
• MongoDB
• Maria DB
• Automation experience- ansible/jenkins
• Experience in a 24x7, high traffic OLTP environment
• Linux experience
