Network SMEBasingstoke High level of Security Clearance needed

Are you an experienced IT professional with excellent knowledge and experience (typically 5-10 years) within the Networks arena? Are you analytical, broad minded, adaptable to change, and can collaborate and interact with others? Do you have a passion for excellent network delivery across all stages of a project lifecycle? Can you quickly demonstrate an understanding of the customers' business and commercial issues? Can you take a set of requirements, and successfully produce and deliver secure and complex network architectures and solutions?

We are looking for a Network Architect to work on delivery opportunities taking place within the secure Defence and Government sector. Your role will involve working in a team, taking on and delivering work packages from the Project Manager or Lead Architect. You will be responsible for the network (high and low level) design and configuration documentation, including passing through any governance reviews, and will provide hands on technical configuration/implementation support, ensure successful handover to service, and support the project team in its milestone deliverables.

Experience:

  • Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilising technologies from a variety of industry leading technology vendors such as Cisco and Juniper, including production of high level and low level design documentation.
  • Strong technical networking knowledge with industry recognized network certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIS-ENT of routing protocols, virtual routing instances, VPNs, Security zones.
  • Experience and skills in F5, Cisco Firepower, and Gigamon technology very desirable.
  • Demonstrable network device configuration skills, network troubleshooting skills and approach to defect resolution.
  • Solid understanding of customer end to end life-cycle, through initial requirements gathering to Operational Acceptance into Service (AiS).
  • Excellent communications skills (with different teams), willing to share knowledge, self-motivated, able to take ownership and responsibility and make quick decisions
