We are urgently seeking a LAN Engineer with strong technical knowledge of networks, network security and their configuration, particularly with Juniper technologiesThis for our client who are a Global IT Service Provider. This will be on a long term contract and based in Stevenage.

The Role

We are looking for a 3rd line Network Engineer to bring experience and knowledge to the team. Your role will involve taking ownership of complex incidents and progressing them through to resolution, Liaising with 3rd party engineers to troubleshoot issues, small to medium sized project work and investigating service improvements. You will also be involved in live network monitoring and catalogue change requests.

Location requirement (Fully on site / Fully Remote / Hybrid [if Hybrid No of days on site]):

• Stevenage - Fully on site

Mandatory Skills (Candidate must have all):

• Strong desire to learn and upskill
• Strong technical knowledge of networks, network security and their configuration, particularly with Juniper technologies
• Must understand Juniper EX LAN switching products, and SRX firewall solutions.
• Must have strong understanding of OSI 7 layer model, Specifically layers 1 through 4
• Cisco Certifications and knowledge of wireless and firewalls desirable

Working Pattern (Mon-Fri, Shifts, on-call):

• Shift Work covering hours 7am - 7pm split over the following 3 week shift pattern
• 7am - 3pm (early) / 8am - 4pm (mid) / 11am - 7pm (late)
