Cloud Security Network Engineer

Cloud Security Network Engineer Glasgow Outside IR35 Our Public Sector client is looking for a Cloud Security Network Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract. Previous Public Sector experience is advantageous. The role involves improving the clients Network Security of their Cloud deployment and the communications with other partner networks.

Essential Skills,

• Experience in a SecDevOps role.
• Expieirnce in a practical DevOps role.
• Expierience of software engineering.
• Experience of established CI/CD, DevOps, IaC and Agile methodologies.
• In depth practical experience of AWS cloud-based connectivity including Direct Connect, Transit Gateway VPCs, Firewalls, AZ resilience and Security Groups.
• Expertise in network troubleshooting between different cloud and partner networks.

Desirable Skills

• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, product owners, delivery managers and DevOps engineers.
• Good written documentation using Atlassian tools for designs and proposed changes.
• Experience in IPSec and SSL VPNs, including Client-Server, Site-to-Site, Managed Split Tunnels.
• Experience of working with codes of connections and annual returns documentation, and working to elevated security standards
• Ability to investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Systems administration of RedHat/Amazon Linux.
• Familiarity with F5 Devices, Physical and Cloud Firewalls, DHCP, DNS, Proxy Servers, PAC Files and SSL Certificates.
