Senior Finance Lead

We're currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager to join our Finance Operations Team on an initial 6 month contract to provide leadership and accountancy advice to ensure the organisation meets its regulatory, reputational and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities;

• To manage the reporting timeline, underlying processes and external audit requirements of the team
• Lead analysis of complex business data to provide recommendations on commercial viability and tax efficiency of new initiatives/ventures
• Lead to ensure all data is prepared and reported in accordance with relevant reporting standards and business reporting requirements
• Effectively communicating complex information to senior stakeholders against a background of continuous internal and external regulatory change
• To build strong relationships with partner's senior management in order to provide the key escalation point within Finance, ensuring effective relations are created and maintained
• Lead in influencing the decisions of senior stakeholders across the organisation where priorities and interests are often conflicting
• Managing the delivery of the team within agreed budget and timelines
• Lead the efficient budget management on behalf of the budget holder and exercise delegated responsibility in making best use of the available resources ensuring services are delivered at a reasonable cost
• Provide professional accounting advice to senior stakeholders including Executive teams and third parties to inform business strategy and manage delivery core outcomes
• Lead, develop, coach and mentor a team to maximise their contribution and ensure they are fairly rewarded
• Lead to ensure all data is prepared and reported to appropriate quality standards
• Drive the transition of projects into BAU and design appropriate operating models for control management and oversight

What we're looking for;

• Essential
• Accountancy trained
• Financial Services Experience
• English speaker

• Desirable
• Experience in an operational finance role
• Insurance Experience
• Educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent
• Qualified Accountant
