Senior Electronics Systems Engineer

Fulltime Onsite in Kent

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to join our team in the MotorSports Industry, and help produce bespoke solutions to support the timing, televising, and organization of client events.

This job is based in Biggin Hill the client runs shuttle buses from East Croydon and Bromley South train stations. You'll need to be in the office 5 days a week, as well as supporting some race days but you do get 4 exclusive VIP Paddock passes to any race!

The successful candidate must have a degree in electronics engineering (or equivalent) and a strong background in embedded systems development and engineering design, with experience in working with networking and serial protocols, video encoding, and RF systems.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have excellent communication and planning skills, along with the ability to create professional documentation. They should also have a calm and logical approach to problem-solving and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. A valid UK driving license is desirable, this role has the possibility of becoming permanent.

Experience required:

• Strong background in the engineering domain, with experience in embedded systems development and support, especially full lifecycle
• Engineering design of products with electronic elements and components
• Architecting or assisting in the design of embedded systems
• Key areas of relevant skills include Python, C, Linux, and schematic capture/PCB design

Desirable:

• Integration of embedded software with digital or analog hardware
• Developing for an RTOS (such as QNX)
• Linux kernel driver development
• Using MATLAB and Simulink
• Development with the Xilinx MPSoC family
