Loriens leading banking client are hiring a Technology risk and control manager on an initial 8 month contract with excellent chance of extension. This is on an hybrid working basis, with 1 - 2 days a month in office.

Short Description of the Job:

  • Provide central support to your Centre of Excellence (CoE), while working with a domain or the wider organisation on all matters related to policy, governance and reporting.
  • Manage all aspects of the policy life cycle, operate the governance framework for the CoE and produce MI and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end policy life cycle and align the outputs to the organisation's policy framework mandatory procedures and support the policy owner to meet their accountabilities.
  • Manage the governance framework for the policy area, both as a CoE and a policy owner, making sure that it meets the standards set for organisation-wide governance.
  • Deliver risk position reporting to organisation-wide committees and forums.
  • Complete all external reporting requests from regulators, third parties, industry bodies, payment schemes and existing and new clients.

The skills you'll need to succeed in this role to include experience in:

  • Managing governance frameworks specially in relation to a Cloud environment.
  • Regulatory experience,as well as framework knowledge
  • Running risk and control assessments to evaluate risks and vulnerabilities associated with a Cloud based system/platform.
  • Developing and using data repositories, creating automated reporting solutions and writing clear and concise management reports.
  • The ability to write clearly and concisely distilling Cloud governance technical issues in business terms.

In addition, you'll demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of influencing senior stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, with experience of building flightpaths to secure governance and stakeholder approval
  • An in-depth understanding of banking industry regulatory, legislation and scheme security requirements with any particular experience of NWG being an advantage.
