PHP Developer Manager up to £80-£90k - Global Gaming Company

A UK based technology company that provides B2B services to the entertainment/ecommerce and gaming/sporting industry is looking for an Developer/Engineering Manager.

As a Developer Manager/Head of Developer you will be working closely with the IT Manager to oversee the technology delivery/strategy, Lead PHP Engineers and oversee multi-functional squads (FE, BE, Testers, Mobile Devs).

Your core focus will be to support the Lead Engineers to maintain and upscale in-house PHP/Symfony Applications and create 3rd Party APIs for robust B2B customer solutions within media, entertainment and sporting industries.

You will be working with developers based in the UK office and off-shore teams across Poland and Turkey.

Location: x1 per month in London, Holborn

Salary: £80,000-£90,000 + private health care insurance and an annual bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain and make improvements to PHP/Laravel Applications
• Integrate and Create 3rd party APIs
• Write unit and integration tests
• Project management of, breaking down product requirements, provide estimates and deliver solutions
• Troubleshoot and fix production issues
• Provide support and code reviews to Lead/Senior developers within the team
• Stakeholder/Client meetings

Our expectations for the ideal candidate:

• 8-10 years' experience with PHP
• Experience with Symfony & Lumen/Zend
• 5 years' experience with MySQL/PostgresSQL Database
• Good knowledge of JSON or error handling
• Experience with Messaging Queue tools such as; RabbitMQ, Amazon MQ, Iron.IO, Socket.IO
• Experience with; Git, Jira and Confluence
• Desirable experience with high volume transactional data
