Infrastructure Engineer (Network Specialist) - Altrincham - £55,000 The Company: Lorien Global are working in partnership with a multinational outsourcing company based in Altrincham. The business are going through a full infrastructure refresh, looking at transforming their global infrastructure, investing and modernising the platforms. With this we're looking for a rounded Infrastructure Engineer to focus on the Networking features.

The Responsibilities: As part of the core Infrastructure Team, we've grown a senior layer within the team bringing in new skills to act as the technical owner for specific aspects of the infrastructure. Now we're looking for someone to own the networking features of the infrastructure.

You'll be responsible for network connectivity into a hybrid environment comprising of private on-prem and public cloud infrastructure. Taking into consideration all the Firewall ruling and Security assessments across VPNs and Traffic Shaping.

As part of the transformation, you'll be working with the team of specialists to deliver infrastructure projects across VMWare, Software, Security and Azure.

The Skill Requirements: We're looking for candidates with a good blend of the following skills:

• Strong background supporting virtual Infrastructure (VMware)
• Good knowledge supporting Windows Server (2012-2019)
• Knowledge of managing general WAN/ LAN Routing & Switching protocols
• Implementation and management of Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, SonicWall)
• Ability to maintain robust network security through VPN/Firewalls configuration
• Excellent written and verbal communication
