Power BI Developer - Outside IR35 - Hybrid

Our client in the Insurance sector are currently looking to hire a Power BI Developer to join the team on an Outside IR35 contract basis. This role would be hybrid working, with the client site based in London.

The client are looking for a driven, motivated individual with significant technical skills and experience to operate within the Underwriting Performance and Actuarial Teams. You will report to the Director of Underwriting Performance and Management.

This role will entail working with the actuarial and performance management teams to develop Power BI reporting for internal and external use. Insurance / Financial Services experience would be beneficial.

Role Responsibilities:

• Development of Power BI reports, for the actuarial and underwriting performance management teams.
• Ability to develop reports in an independently with review in an agile manner.
• Technically strong in Microsoft technologies, Power BI, and SQL script.
• Linking a variety of data sources to develop Power BI reports.

Key Skills:

• Expert Power BI reporting knowledge.
• Highly skilled report and dashboard development.
• Strategic business knowledge and understanding of the insurance sector is preferable.
• Strong SQL skills (data extraction and enrichment using advanced functions).
• Knowledge of ETL using a variety of data sources.
• Able to Interrogate, manipulate, cleanse and transform data.
• Experience working in an agile manner using Azure DevOps.
• Insurance or Reinsurance understanding
• Strong networking, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues.
