Network Engineer - Edinburgh / Remote - Outside IR35

NETWORK ENGINEER - EDINBURGH / REMOTE - OUTSIDE IR35

Lorien are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support network migration activities from current Cisco platform to Arista replacement.

The successful candidate will;

• Contribute to Day2 Arista Environment improvements after migration
• Migrate NSX-V to NSX-T (DFW) existing rules
• Deliver an optimised datacentre refresh with service migration
• Contribute to tooling and DevOps pipelines for automation

Background / Experience

• Networking

• Substantial experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto and Juniper MX
• Routing & switching
• Common design topologies for layer 2 & 3 services
• Palo Alto firewall administration
• Experience with Campus wired and WIFI deployments
• Strong knowledge of OSPF design together with performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of BGP design and operational management
• Expertise with data centre management and best practices
• Experience with VMware Network
• Certified to at least CCNP
• Knowledge and experience of Agile working, including such disciplines as Kanban, feedback, retrospectives, VFQ.
• Risk aware, focused on risk reduction and mitigation
