We are looking for an experienced and motivated senior software sales manager to join our fintech company that provides innovative solutions for the asset management industry. Our client provides instant access to a depth of unique and reliable alternative data sets that helps global financial institutions to make smarter and more informed decisions. They provide end-to-end solutions on processing unstructured data, such as ESG research, sentiment analysis, and fund performance.

You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and delivering revenue growth across our product portfolio. You will have a strong knowledge of the buy-side, investment research and investment operations, be able to communicate effectively with decision makers at all levels, and take ownership of this brand new role that reports directly to the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow the presence and revenue in the asset management industry.
  • Lead the effort to sell investment research software suite to their top 250 buyside targets.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients, understand their needs and challenges, and present solutions.
  • Responsible for leading sales process, including RFP's, workshops and poC,s across key opportunities.
  • Communicate industry trends and product feedback to key stakeholders to facilitate sales, marketing, and product strategies.

What are we looking for?

Essential

  • Sales experience and proof of hitting targets.
  • Strong knowledge and active contact network within the buy side (Asset Managers and Hedge Funds)
  • Experience of selling a product or service to the Asset Management industry.

Desirable

  • Experience in fintech or selling SAAS a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to carry and deliver multi-year sales targets.
  • Ability to own and project manage RFP's with input from senior stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience working complex, multi stakeholder procurement processes with extended sales cycles.
