We have an incredible opportunity to join our client as a Portfolio PMO Manager to join the Asset Management Portfolio team. The role This is a key role in our clients Portfolio PMO team, which is responsible for the delivery of key programmes and projects for the Asset Management Value Centre.With a strong PMO Management background and good understanding of the change management lifecycle, you will be the single point of contact for all Enterprise level reporting for the Asset Management Portfolio. You will be responsible for leading and managing all Enterprise level reporting e.g. financials/resource/risk up to the variety of stakeholders within the Company Group (CoE, Enterprise Risks/Resources/Financials). You will be responsible for leading and managing all controls for the Portfolio. You will lead and task manage a team within the Portfolio PMO Central team that require direction, delegation and leadership.You will provide the Portfolio Delivery Manager and Senior PMO Manager with the analytical outputs to best support the portfolio's strategic objectives, by being their conscience on the shoulder and ensuring that you are working with the programme and project teams by challenging the priorities, milestones, risks and issues and dependencies based on your knowledge of the portfolio. The role holder will need to work closely with the Portfolio Delivery Lead, Senior PMO Manager and a variety of AM business stakeholders, across a range of small, medium and large-scale projects, complex programmes, and with a range of senior asset management colleagues as well as with small to global suppliers. What are we looking for?

  • You will work closely alongside the Portfolio Delivery Lead and Senior PMO Manager as their SPOC to ensure the necessary controls and governance are being effectively measured and managed, feed into the relevant Enterprise level forums and committees, ensuring the necessary outputs and MI are provided as required.
  • Ensure own team resources are managed effectively through regular supply and demand analysis to cover Portfolio and Enterprise demand. Carrying out recruitment activities for own area and supporting other PMO teams within the Asset Management Portfolio.
  • You will facilitate and support the Portfolio Steering Committee/Portfolio Direction Group, ensuring that all input is collated into a quality product pitched perfectly for the audience.
  • Effective forward planning of own (and teams activities where appropriate) to support all Enterprise touchpoints, creating visibility of a clear plan, identifying risks and issues for mitigation and re-prioritisation of work with agreement and negotiation with key stakeholders.
  • Proactive development and/or co-ordination of key management information packs and reports on an on-going basis to support the monthly governance cycle. Ensuring the information is appropriately pitched for the audience.
  • Active identification, monitoring and progressing of Portfolio risks and issues, ensuring the Change Management Framework Standards are adopted for their effective management, as well as challenging accuracy and completeness. Identifying appropriate risks and issues for escalation.
  • Proactive management of Portfolio costs, through timely collation of all hubs/programmes and projects overviews whilst working closely with Finance Teams to manage risks and offsets effectively.
