Junior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Python/Bash)

£45,000 - £55,000 + Annual Bonus

A globally recognised powerhouse of a bank with over 30,000 employees worldwide is currently looking to extend the cloud engineering team who are responsible for their brand new payment platform. They are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer who already has some commercial experience within the AWS stack (1-2 years' experience). This role is a great opportunity for a Junior DevOps Engineer who is looking to further develop their technical skills within a fast paced, modern environment whilst also shadowing Senior figures of the team. If you want mentoring and training from world class engineers who have spent years in the banking space then this could be an excellent fit for you. Responsibilities:

• Implementing Serverless technologies across the platform within AWS.
• Building and implementing CI/CD Pipelines in Jenkins
• Creating microservices and containers using Docker, whilst building Kubernetes clusters in EKS.
• Make the software engineering teams' deployment processes more effective.
• Shadowing experienced members of the DevOps team, learning Continuous integration, automation, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, and Containerisation.

Skills Required:

• 1-2 years commercially in AWS
• Experience with configuration management tools such as ansible.
• Skills in building infrastructure using either Terraform or CloudFormation
• Linux skills (Ubuntu, Debian etc.).
• Experience of using Docker for containerisation purposes.
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using the likes of GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI, CodeBuild etc.
• Familiarity with scripting (Bash or Python).
• Monitoring and alerting tools - Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk, ELK.
