DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer (AWS, Serverless, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Python)

£60,000 - £70,000 + annual bonus + flexible working

A global Financial Services firm are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who can come into the existing team and stamp their mark on new and existing projects.

With over 10 million users world-wide it makes them one of the largest financial services companies in the world. The current technical team is at 30 people strong, with the ambition to double in size over the next year. Within the skilled technical team, there is technical architects, developers, Site reliability engineers, and infrastructure team, who will collaborate with the DevOps team that you will be part of.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing Serverless technologies across the platform within AWS.
• Building and implementing CI/CD Pipelines in Jenkins
• Creating microservices and containers using Docker, whilst building Kubernetes clusters in EKS.
• Make the software engineering teams' deployment processes more effective.
• Heavily involved in Continuous integration, automation, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, and Containerisation.

Skills:

• Strong exposure to AWS.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as ansible
• Infrastructure as code; Terraform, Cloud Formation, Deployment manager, YAML or PowerShell DSC
• Experience of using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language - Python, Ruby, Go, PowerShell etc.
• Monitoring and alerting tools - Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk, ELK
