Embedded Software Engineers - Senior and Mid level - Glasgow (Hybrid remote)

Lorien's highly successful Glasgow based client is a market leader in the creation and provision of cutting-edge technical solutions, systems and other products to a variety of customers around the globe and a range of industries and sectors including medical research, renewable energy and more.

On the back of a boom in business demand, they are now in the process of significant internal investment including the renovation of their Research and Development centre and a recruitment drive. They're looking to add even more new recruits to their team - just like the one we introduced ourselves who loves the place already - including a couple of Senior and Mid level Embedded Software Engineers with strong C skills.

Here's an outline below to give you an insight of some of the duties involved, and in return for your efforts they are happy to offer not only hybrid remote working, but flexible start and end times (including early Friday finishes!) to work around your routine, and a range of other great people-focused benefits on top of competitive salaries:

• Developing code to be used in key, high-quality products made by the firm
• Support and grow existing libraries as well as help the engineering function improve in general
• Produce tech documentation as required, and lead in planning/estimating development activities
• Take the reins integrating software with hardware offerings

Here's some of the skills they're looking for:

• Strong C skills and ability to use an Object Oriented style approach to software engineering
• Hands on skills across embedded software and hardware integration, verification and testing
• Knowledge of scalable systems modules & low-level drivers
• Knwoeldge of RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems), and ideally multitasking & event-driven programming
• Knowledge of low-level Microcontroller interfaces and ability to read schematic diagrams
