R Developer - Contract - new job in West London, UK

R Developer - 3 month contract

My client a global pharmaceutical company are currently looking to recruit an R developer to join their team on a contract basis. Please note if successful you will need to be paid via an Umbrella company or PAYE. As an R Developer you will be required to support the roll out of a new global market partition shiny web application.

You will be responsible for the following;

• Working within an existing team to optimise and deploy shiny based web applications
• Conducting and supporting knowledge transfer and working sessions with offshore analytics teams.
• Assisting in the roll out of shiny web applications
• Mentoring and upskilling other members of the team.

Key skills & experience required;

• R development.
• Developing and deploying enterprise grade shiny applications.
• Excellent and broad knowledge of popular R packages, e.g. tidyverse, Rcpp, parallel etc
• Can conceptualise, formulate, prototype and implement algorithms to solve business problems
• Ability to review, refactor and optimise legacy R codes.
• Software development and deployment lifecycle, especially CICD pipelines
