Senior Software Engineer in Test (Verification) - Edinburgh (Hybrid)

Lorien's client, an established Scottish-born success story with a consistently award-winning, sector leading product line, has asked us to help them in their searches for a Senior Test Automation Engineer / Senior Software Engineer in Test ideally with skills across Software Verification to join their team.

Some of what you'll get up to:

• Be part of a multidisciplinary team including DevOps specialists and work closely with an Engineering Manager to perform and take ownership across Automated Testing, test documentation, DevOps test activities and CI/CD management from a test perspective (currently Jenkins and Bamboo)
• Develop continuous test suites including unit tests, acceptance tests and more, and continuously simplify/automate aspects of software verification where possible

What you'll bring to the table to achieve this:

• Strong knowledge and skills across Test Automation (preferably a range of relevant automation tools)
• Background in Software Verification
• Some skills with Python / PyWinAuto or if not, C# / Java / C++/ etc. and willingness to learn Python
• Previous history of working in an Agile environment (preferably R&D) and improving the wider function by helping to implement best practice, etc.
• Preferably track record of testing networks and distributed systems and working with Azure / similar cloud
• Previous exposure to (TDD) Test Driven Development and/or (BDD) Behaviour Driven Development
