Our UK based banking client are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience with the following:

• An understanding of infrastructure layers and knowledge across multiple platforms
• Skill in code development or automation scripting using a language such as Python or Shell
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Ability in using modern infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
• Proficiency of the development of CI/CD pipelines such as GITLABs
• Familiarity in software testing practices and tools
• Strong experience in using observability tools and techniques
• Experience of working with technology deployed to an on-premises datacentre
• Public cloud vendor knowledge such as GCP (Google Cloud Platform), AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure
• Knowledge of "as a Service" modern technology consumption models
• To be a strong collaborative communicator in articulating technical concepts clearly to your peers and customers
• Experience of the DevOps mind-set, collaboration, automation, and tooling
