Solution Architect - Retail Pricing and Promotions

3 Month Contract - potential to extend

Remote - occasional travel into the office

Our client, on the nation's favourite retailers, is looking for a Solution Architect to join them on a 3-month contract basis initially.

Core Role Responsibilities:

• Articulate core business and tech capabilities required to enable price & promo capability in a grocery retailer
• Investigate and summarise as-is tech capability of current legacy price and promo capability
• Create solution options for enabling price execution capability and work with appropriate system vendors to refine those options
• Create solution options for price optimisation capability and work with appropriate system vendors to refine those options
• Create roadmap options for implementing a new technology solutions in different ways based on business benefit release

Skills and Experience:

Necessary:

• Strong experience working on complex assignments
• Ability to lift messages up and down according to audience (business vs tech) and to work with analytical business stakeholders
• Producing clearly articulated and evidenced key (Architectural) decision papers and high level design documents
• Experience in unpicking and replacing complicated legacy applications through transition states/ in incremental manner
• Ability to work collaboratively with core resources such as business analyst, delivery lead and product owner/business lead

Desired:

• Experience of Price and Promotions technology covering Optimisation, Execution and Planning
